in the middle of new york city, near chelsea market, lies little island, similar to an exclave. the architectural film plays with the contrast between the hustle and bustle of the megacity and the contemplative atmosphere of little island, which lies on the former pier of the titanic – pier 55 – on the hudson river. little island was designed by heatherwick studio and the landscape architects MNLA. the calm that the place radiates was translated into the architectural film mainly through moving stills.
