diocesan library münster

if the doors of perception were cleaned
every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite.

william blake

the architectural film about the münster diocesan library by max dudler examines the serial elements of the building and, as it progresses, becomes an abstract journey of never-ending structures that seem to extend into infinity.

in collaboration with the sound artist leon hillebrand, an artificial translation of the architecture with an experimental character was created in this way. where does the boundary between reality and fantasy, between infinity and symmetry emerge? the film plays with the idea of expanding the boundaries of the classic architectural film and adding a narrative level to the explanatory image - exposing what is otherwise hidden between the lines.
